ABOUT ME

I am a Concept Designer that works well in 3D modelling, 2D art, and combining the two. I love the storybuilding and problem solving aspects of design and I'm always excited to apply my skills to any level of any project.

I have always been interested in just about everything throughout my life. I began as a walking dictionary on dinosaurs at age 5, which developed to a big love of all animals and wildlife. This also sparked a love of biology, as well as chemistry and other sciences. I also spent my time pursuing music, sports, outdoor activities as well as working at zoos, aquariums, and museums. After high school, I spent two years in the northern reaches of New Zealand, where I developed a deep love of learning about cultures from all around the world. Because of my love for anatomy and biology, I begun my degree as a Human Biology major. While I thoroughly enjoyed that path, I found that I couldn't really incorporate all of my interests as much as I wanted. Over Spring Break, I visited a theme park, which is something that I've always loved. The more I learned about themed entertainment design, the more I realized that this career field offered a broader range of interests I would be able to pursue. My love of animals, cultures, science, learning, history, etc. are all aspects of myself that have already allowed me to really connect with my concepts and designs.

When I decided to begin my career in Themed Entertainment Design, I was able to change my degree to an Interdisciplinary degree, with emphasis in Biochemistry, Architecture, and Technical Theater. I quickly got involved with the school's theater, working as an assistant scenic designer, scenic artist, and projections master. I had the opportunity to do an internship that allowed me to come up with initial concept designs for an entrepreneur who has plans to create a new theme park.  I am currently pursuing my MFA in Themed Entertainment Design at Savannah College of Art and Design.
